Nice 24 Hours...

So after a few silly 3rd set losing trades recentley, I got the rule book in place (red out early...avoid 3rd set trading) and took a crack at proper trading last night and today.

Small scalping mostly in the racing, while the tennis mainly involved laying the fave early on in a match where they had no right to be starting at like 1.2-1.4 and quickly pushed up to bigger odds, especially in the womens tennis where some of them hit double faults for fun...

I actually prefer these smaller tennis tourneys as there are much bigger swings in the odds as the players struggle to live up to their on paper form...played tennis myself today against one of the best players from the squash club, I lost the first game but came out 6-1, 6-2...not bad!

Ok time for the pub...

Greedy Bastards

Not traded much, only get Fridays off now at work (busy) when I do trade I do well on the tennis (still have messed up in some final sets, which I know to stay away from!) but give it back on stupid lays on the racing.

Full time trading seemed something to look at but what on earths the point when Betfair have now put up their premium charge up to 60%, ahh but that only affects 0.01% of punters or something...think again Mr Piggy, they've just worded it in a pro conman way, a fellow blogger says it much better than I can...check his latest post out...http://centrecourttrading.blogspot.com/

With the last few years with Mp's expenses, banks gambling money away, big business cons all over the place, its pretty obvious the whole world is on the fiddle...I guess the average working guy is just a chump sheep, the latest disgrace are Full Tilt, my fave site for mtts and software have been playing dodgy greedy bastard all along, so one of the biggest and most "trustworthy" online poker sites is now actually offline without a license, still to pay millions back to Usa punters, and the rest of the world joining that queue, while Lederer and his fellow thiefs lap it up on some off shore island...

I think the riots in Greece and other places in the world are just the start...although the "xfactorers/eastenders" of the Uk will probably just eat another pie.

Cut Out The Third Set

Working most week days recentley so missed a lot of the Madrid day tennis, have done a few trades but hit two reds when I traded the 3rd set in play. Now this is just idiotic as it can swing either way, I was been greedy after recent success and need to make that a rule...to not trade the 3rd set, unless its a lay of 1.05 or below...

Layed Nadal from the start against Federer yesterday when he was a very low starting price, worked out nice! Should be a good final today, Nadal V Djokovic...

Watched a great film - Tucker And Dale Vs Evil, it turns films like Wrong Turn and Deliverance on their back and makes for a decent comedy/horror, nice pic of one of the stars above.

Man Utd v Chelsea should be a classic today, not trading it as have no idea which way it will go, just going to enjoy the spectacle...

"Good" Friday

Played tennis in the glorious sun this morning, losing 4-6 4-6 to Horneris which is not bad against the "net king". Felt knacked in the afternoon after plenty of beers the previous evening so settled down to some trading...

The Safina match was first and this had the usual crazy ingredients! She had won the first set which I had not seen but now in the 2nd was looking very ropey...hardly running and looking faint, just a good job I took my green when I did, as Safina ended up winning!

Could have made a load more (see the screenshot above, a lay there would have added to profits nicely!) but decided to keep clear as had already made what I wanted, what actually happened was Safina sat down with her coach and said "ive got cramps, I cant carry on" 1.01 is now available on her opponent, but guess what...time out and she comes back and wins the final set, lol unreal!

The Ferrer match was also a good trade, put a lay in when Ferrer had broke he then took a time out for a leg injury, boom his odds shot up and collected the green right there...

Got a bit greedy after that and jumped straight into a Wta match without even looking at what had happened or watching it for a bit, paid with a £26 red, lesson learnt there, but all in all a good Tennis trading today and no racing to put me off...

Day Off Work...

Had a good day trading a few of the matches in the Monte Carlo Masters...some quality strops today, with Malisse and Gulbis both getting close to meltdowns with the umpires, always adds a bit of spice to the matches lol. My best trade was a lay of Tisparevic, I was pretty sure he would fade and rode the red for a bit to come up with a green...

Couple of small Horse and Football lays paid off so quite a good day for my stakes...

Played tennis mid afternoon between the tennis trades, and was keeping level in the first set, but ffs for the 3rd week in a row I got shoulder pain from serving, but this week it was actually stopping me hit it hard, sigh at getting old and creaks and pains creeping in...so obv I lost.

Have put some small stakes on the Snooker World Championship market pre start to test the waters, have picked Murphy (19/1) Cope (70/1) and Fu (80/1)...will green up if they make a few rounds progress.

Will see how Murray performs in the Tennis tomorrow, surely he cant get any worse?

Golf - Us Masters

Had a hit and miss day trading the Tennis, layed Wozniacki but she was just too good vs Vesnina so only small profit on that one, but I messed the Nishikori v Sweeting match up, it was 4-0 to Nish in previous matches and he has played much better than Sweeting recentley...Nish started at 1.37 and I guess I should have layed him from the start and see what happened, in the end Sweeting won 2-0!

Bit peeved with that and saw that the final round of the Us Masters was underway, say that Rory was 1.99 and thought that was way too low with so many holes to play and various players not far behind him...so I stuck in a lay. His odds went up but then they started coming down again and I bottled it a bit...as after that he made a massive crash and summed up my form at golf later on...lol. Played around with the odds on a few others, but the main profit was from the demise of Rory, not bad for my first proper trade on Golf...

Monte Carlo Masters starts today, so lots of good tennis during the day, shame im at work for most of the week...;)

Nadal V Djokovic

Miami - Nadal v Djokovic - £45 GREEN

What a cracking match that was! Got out mid way through the 2nd set, and could then sit and marvel at the quality of Tennis. The trade was a back of Nadal early on, green up...and then back Djoko at the start of the 2nd set as he had got into his groove near the end of the 1st even though he had lost it. Again greened up after he broke Nadal...if only all tennis trades were as nice and simple as this! (unlike my mess of the Wozniacki match last week - RED!)

Been playing around with the ladders pre horse race and may be making progress on that front, seeing some regular patterns emerge that could be of use.

Lost to Horneris at tennis, i lost a set point though after coming back from 0-4..sigh! in my other match I took down the Sniper...

Watched The Other Guys which was good for a laugh, never knew that Mark Wahlberg went to prison for racist violence and blinded a Vietnamese man in the attack, never really liked the fella! Lol at this film title Hobo With A Shotgun!
