Darts Update!

Late in tonight but have caught the first few dart matches ^^^

What a brilliant run I have been on, I am terrible at playing Darts...not too bad at trading it, although a big blow up will no doubt be on the horizon...

Cheers for your support Sniper, hope all is going well...time for our yearly christmas Selbyathon soon...:)

Here is the last few days, looks nice! yes I am singing when I am winning...lol..

Darts

Have been looking at other sports recentley as the Tennis has just about finished now, with just the finals at the O2 starting on Sunday which should be good...

Still looking at pre race trading but cant seem to get much going, I think im following a swing then it goes the other way...fast! I see the big money coming in but then the odds seem to fly out, hmmm will have to hurry up Mets and get him running a course, must be great to be consistent at pre race trading.

Last night was bored watching the England match (this team are going nowhere, the worst England squad in living memory...oh wow they have won two friendly matches 1-0), and flicked over to the Darts, i've traded Darts before a little bit and gave it another go, aswell as making some nice profits, I really enjoyed the matches with some varied and colourful characters, will be giving it another go tonight!

You have to be fast trading darts, especially in the best of 5 legs matches like these, and its best to get out before the deciding leg if its close as a player can go from 1.8 to 1.01 in seconds...

New Beginnings?

Well the Pokerstars profit attempt has not gone too well this last month, bad beat after bad beat and massive fields, so yesterday I gave up and put some money back on Betfair, along with the Berdych match this morning not a bad 24 hours, up a nice £141.83

No more leaving trades to run, the Berdych match would have been a good example...looked like Cilic was going to run away with it but i've seen it all before and sure enough Berdych took a 3-0 lead in the second set, thankfully I had already greened up. £50 wins on single matches are decent wins and i've come to appreciate that. Small trading wins on the Horses, mostly pre match with a couple of in play scares which I really should not get involved with, and a couple of big wins on the Rugby and Darts..(LOL).

Going back to the poker, as I had some money back on Betfair I entered a few mtts, back to some fairly normal size fields, and cashed in 3 of them with a nice result in a 10r (1r and add on) coming 3rd/790 for $1481...cool! so with my final table last month on Party Poker, what is it with the ridic rubbish on Stars, still determined to at least get a decent final on there...and I will!

Film wise watched the most overrated film I have seen since The Dark Knight, pointless violence, long drawn out scenes with ridic silence, no story, no emotion, yet geeky critics are pulling their pants down over it...go figure...

The final episode of this seasons Breaking Bad tomorrow, brilliant show just gets better and better and puts films like Drive to shame, actually glad that the writer has decided to make next season (season 5) the last one so it will have a proper ending and not drag on and on like a lot of American shows...

Another full week at work as yet another member of staff on holiday! ah well hopefully some evening tennis to trade on but I think a lot of it is going to be early morning stuff...

Nothing Much...

Covering holidays at work most of the time yet again so been busy and tired on an evening, a few days off this week, have played some Tennis, lost against Horner 3-6 3-6 6-7 (up 5-2 in the last set...pfft) and today vs Sniper 6-1 4-6 7-5, some good workouts there and a good match from Snipes on his return from paradise...

Came 2nd in an Mtt on Party Poker for $1679, played some cash and have ran well but have given quite a bit back on the BastardStars, the amount of suckouts at the moment are horrendous! Hoping for a decent final table (even the $1 rebuys have a $10,000+ 1st place) and then cash out forever!!!

This would then leave me with a bigger roll and hit the trading hard, as too many times I have threw the odd £100/200 away on silly trades...have been trying a few paper trades (Fairbot has a simulation trade option), a place laying system seems very good in its early days, and a more stringent way of tennis trading is looking good...

So for now there's not much trading to report....I may be a while...

Beat The Red!

Just as im moving forward I take a step backwards...yup its the old red devil again!
Could have greened up for £25 in the Isner match at the weekend, but no I thought lets get a bit more, boom the market flips the other way as Isner changes into a complete dog wanker! and I sit there and let the red increase and increase till I collect the nice shiny £65 RED...

Have won it back and more since, but to make a decent go of this discipline is 100% vital, pretty much as I said in the last post...;)

Scalping the horses, mainly laying one of the faves in certain races, where they are pretty much certain to trade higher, and plenty of tennis on at the moment, although its not involving the top seeds recentley...

Saw a couple of quality films, Limitless was great and Insidious was a fairly decent low budget scare flick.

** FRIDAY - After following a horse tip blind today (at work so could not trade out), I bounced back with a nice evenings trading...

Saturday 16 July 2011

Nice 24 Hours...

So after a few silly 3rd set losing trades recentley, I got the rule book in place (red out early...avoid 3rd set trading) and took a crack at proper trading last night and today.

Small scalping mostly in the racing, while the tennis mainly involved laying the fave early on in a match where they had no right to be starting at like 1.2-1.4 and quickly pushed up to bigger odds, especially in the womens tennis where some of them hit double faults for fun...

I actually prefer these smaller tennis tourneys as there are much bigger swings in the odds as the players struggle to live up to their on paper form...played tennis myself today against one of the best players from the squash club, I lost the first game but came out 6-1, 6-2...not bad!

Ok time for the pub...

Greedy Bastards

Not traded much, only get Fridays off now at work (busy) when I do trade I do well on the tennis (still have messed up in some final sets, which I know to stay away from!) but give it back on stupid lays on the racing.

Full time trading seemed something to look at but what on earths the point when Betfair have now put up their premium charge up to 60%, ahh but that only affects 0.01% of punters or something...think again Mr Piggy, they've just worded it in a pro conman way, a fellow blogger says it much better than I can...check his latest post out...http://centrecourttrading.blogspot.com/

With the last few years with Mp's expenses, banks gambling money away, big business cons all over the place, its pretty obvious the whole world is on the fiddle...I guess the average working guy is just a chump sheep, the latest disgrace are Full Tilt, my fave site for mtts and software have been playing dodgy greedy bastard all along, so one of the biggest and most "trustworthy" online poker sites is now actually offline without a license, still to pay millions back to Usa punters, and the rest of the world joining that queue, while Lederer and his fellow thiefs lap it up on some off shore island...

I think the riots in Greece and other places in the world are just the start...although the "xfactorers/eastenders" of the Uk will probably just eat another pie.

Cut Out The Third Set

Working most week days recentley so missed a lot of the Madrid day tennis, have done a few trades but hit two reds when I traded the 3rd set in play. Now this is just idiotic as it can swing either way, I was been greedy after recent success and need to make that a rule...to not trade the 3rd set, unless its a lay of 1.05 or below...

Layed Nadal from the start against Federer yesterday when he was a very low starting price, worked out nice! Should be a good final today, Nadal V Djokovic...

Watched a great film - Tucker And Dale Vs Evil, it turns films like Wrong Turn and Deliverance on their back and makes for a decent comedy/horror, nice pic of one of the stars above.

Man Utd v Chelsea should be a classic today, not trading it as have no idea which way it will go, just going to enjoy the spectacle...

"Good" Friday

Played tennis in the glorious sun this morning, losing 4-6 4-6 to Horneris which is not bad against the "net king". Felt knacked in the afternoon after plenty of beers the previous evening so settled down to some trading...

The Safina match was first and this had the usual crazy ingredients! She had won the first set which I had not seen but now in the 2nd was looking very ropey...hardly running and looking faint, just a good job I took my green when I did, as Safina ended up winning!

Could have made a load more (see the screenshot above, a lay there would have added to profits nicely!) but decided to keep clear as had already made what I wanted, what actually happened was Safina sat down with her coach and said "ive got cramps, I cant carry on" 1.01 is now available on her opponent, but guess what...time out and she comes back and wins the final set, lol unreal!

The Ferrer match was also a good trade, put a lay in when Ferrer had broke he then took a time out for a leg injury, boom his odds shot up and collected the green right there...

Got a bit greedy after that and jumped straight into a Wta match without even looking at what had happened or watching it for a bit, paid with a £26 red, lesson learnt there, but all in all a good Tennis trading today and no racing to put me off...

Day Off Work...

Had a good day trading a few of the matches in the Monte Carlo Masters...some quality strops today, with Malisse and Gulbis both getting close to meltdowns with the umpires, always adds a bit of spice to the matches lol. My best trade was a lay of Tisparevic, I was pretty sure he would fade and rode the red for a bit to come up with a green...

Couple of small Horse and Football lays paid off so quite a good day for my stakes...

Played tennis mid afternoon between the tennis trades, and was keeping level in the first set, but ffs for the 3rd week in a row I got shoulder pain from serving, but this week it was actually stopping me hit it hard, sigh at getting old and creaks and pains creeping in...so obv I lost.

Have put some small stakes on the Snooker World Championship market pre start to test the waters, have picked Murphy (19/1) Cope (70/1) and Fu (80/1)...will green up if they make a few rounds progress.

Will see how Murray performs in the Tennis tomorrow, surely he cant get any worse?

Sunday 10 April 2011

Golf - Us Masters

Had a hit and miss day trading the Tennis, layed Wozniacki but she was just too good vs Vesnina so only small profit on that one, but I messed the Nishikori v Sweeting match up, it was 4-0 to Nish in previous matches and he has played much better than Sweeting recentley...Nish started at 1.37 and I guess I should have layed him from the start and see what happened, in the end Sweeting won 2-0!

Bit peeved with that and saw that the final round of the Us Masters was underway, say that Rory was 1.99 and thought that was way too low with so many holes to play and various players not far behind him...so I stuck in a lay. His odds went up but then they started coming down again and I bottled it a bit...as after that he made a massive crash and summed up my form at golf later on...lol. Played around with the odds on a few others, but the main profit was from the demise of Rory, not bad for my first proper trade on Golf...

Monte Carlo Masters starts today, so lots of good tennis during the day, shame im at work for most of the week...;)

Sunday 3 April 2011

Nadal V Djokovic

Miami - Nadal v Djokovic - £45 GREEN

What a cracking match that was! Got out mid way through the 2nd set, and could then sit and marvel at the quality of Tennis. The trade was a back of Nadal early on, green up...and then back Djoko at the start of the 2nd set as he had got into his groove near the end of the 1st even though he had lost it. Again greened up after he broke Nadal...if only all tennis trades were as nice and simple as this! (unlike my mess of the Wozniacki match last week - RED!)

Been playing around with the ladders pre horse race and may be making progress on that front, seeing some regular patterns emerge that could be of use.

Lost to Horneris at tennis, i lost a set point though after coming back from 0-4..sigh! in my other match I took down the Sniper...

Watched The Other Guys which was good for a laugh, never knew that Mark Wahlberg went to prison for racist violence and blinded a Vietnamese man in the attack, never really liked the fella! Lol at this film title Hobo With A Shotgun!

We Have Light!

Finally spring/summer seems to be here, has felt like the longest winter ever...off to play some tennis today (will obv lose as I am against Yorkshire's no.1 player, Chief Horneris), there is one big downside to this change of seasons though, the light mornings which now includes pigeons making a racket from 5am, really doing my head in!

Tennis still going well on the trading front, bit poor with no live footage in the early rounds of Indian Wells and Miami, especially when you get round 1 live streams from places like Outer Mongolia.

Still not got my head round pre horse race trading yet, I just cant seem to follow the swings, in race trading seems the way to go, but then this seems to have a high level of risk to it...need to stick at it I feel, as there are so many meetings every day all year...

If In Doubt Lay..

Did some nice tennis trades yesterday, laid Ferrer from the start and should have let it run a bit longer as he ended up losing, aswell as backing Del Potro when a set down...he came back to win.

But then came the BIG mistake laid Murray (or cretin for short) from near the start when 1.03 but then checked out the stats on Donald Young, world no 143 and should obv be easy for Murray, so I got out of my lay (sigh)...the other matches were on at this time so left it alone, a bit later I saw Murray lost the 1st set in a tiebreak, ahh higher odds to back, nice!

So I put a chunk on him and put the match on live on Sky, OMFG the complete and utter turd burgler was not even trying just like in a match last month, is his Mum or Brother trading him on Betfair? the odds moved fast and I had to take the red, its good that we have a British player in the top 10, keeps some interest in the sport over here, but this guy is like the Diouf of Tennis! ha anyway rant over...

One day I will catch one of these low lays full on from the beginning, until then I will keep backing cabbages...;)

One last quick rant, Betfair have been an abs disgrace this last few weeks, with Saturday downtime now been a regular thing, it was off for like 7 hours yesterday, with people losing £1000's through no fault of their own..sort it you monopoly mugs!

Leaving Winter Behind...

Hopefully the arctic conditions are gone for good now...back to a normal schedule and now with the tennis calendar back to its busy normality I can trade a lot more of that. Done ok with the horse trading, but not much good on the football, I find that the hardest to trade on...

Got some new links on the right to some quality blogs, lol at Arsenal going from 4-0 to 4-4, sych an easy 1.01 lay right there, but who would have thought it!

Speaking of 1.01 lays been a few in different tennis matches in the last few days, the 1.01-1.10 chances are a lot more common that i thought with players throwing it away just as they have the match in hand.

Just watched the new Hawaii Five O, actually very good! Archer (an animated spoof) also seems good. Film wise, shark thriller "The Reef" was ok, so was Buried but the Denzel Washington film "Unstoppable" was so cliched and dull considering it was meant to be an action blockbuster. Ok roll on summer!
